How I Made 3K Plus a Month from Autoblogs
Hi,

I would like to contribute with something to the forum and tell you a bit about what I do with Autoblogs in order to make money.

I decided to do this because I'm tired of stupid people saying that Autoblogs will get you banned for the smallest thing. People who say so have no idea how Autoblogs work. I have not only made quite a bit of money with Autoblogs, but I've also managed to get both search and referral traffic.

Let me make one thing clear, Autoblogs DO give results if you know how to go about it. Just the ads alone will pay around 50 dollars a month. Again, if you do it well, you won't get banned. It takes a bit of time to set up the scheme, but it's a one time only job.

Ok, so here's my step by step guide below:

Domain. There are two factors to consider: that the name is related to the niche and that the terms you select are highly searched.

Hosting. I've found that Lunarpages.com is by far the best hosting. No matter what your traffic is, they'll never suspend you. Stay away from HostGator and BlueHost. They suspend accounts at the drop of a hat.

What You Need:

Wordpress. You'll need a blog. I use Wordpress.org and I recommend it.

WP-o-matic. Knowing some basic PHP will let you work wonders and let you post in a very formatted manner. Even the basic settings it comes with are enough to make a webmaster go nuts. It's a tool that no AutoBlogger should go without.

DDSitemapGen. As it names implies, this plugin will let you create a sitemap for your Wordpress site. You can then customize it. Get it at dagondesign.com/articles/sitemap-generator-plugin-for-wordpress/ or just google it.

WP Super Cache. Another useful plugin. It will generate static html files for your webserver to process.

Ok, you're ready to start. Set up a Wordpress blog. If you have Fantastico, then your job will be so much easier.

IMPORTANT: Activate all the Plugins that we've seen so far.

Step 1. Add a ping list. Get the code here: prelovac.com/vladimir/wordpress-ping-list

Step 2. Change the link structure to %postname%

Step 3. Select a simple yet nice looking template. Avoid any premium or flashy ones and avoid the default one.

Step 4. Change the category of your blog from "Uncategorized" to "General."

Step 5. Delete all the links from the LinkRoll.

Step 6. In the pages section, create a new Page and name it SiteMap. Change the mode from visual to HTML and paste "<!-- ddsitemapgen -->" (don't type in the quotation marks). Save the page. What this does is create a sitemap.

7. Save the settings of the blog. That's it.

If you want to avoid spammers from filling your blog with junk, then enable Akismet, which you can get from Wordpress. Alternatively, you can get a plugin called SPAM FREE, which makes it even easier. That's pretty much the only other plugin I would recommend. Do not install anything else. You want your blog to load on other people's computers quickly.

Now you should dedicate yourself to find other blogs. Try to aim for a niche that is so popular that it gets millions of searches already. Avoid micro niches because they're a waste of your time. News, videogames, music, celebrities and news are usually good and you'll find blogs with fresh content everyday.

Now, from all the existing blogs you need to sort the ones with good RSS feed. While this is hard to get, here's a tip for finding the RSS feed of blogs in your niche.

Go to StumbleUpon and sign up for an account. Don't worry about being active since all you want is to get their toolbar. Once your account is activated, go to "My Preferences" and choose the topic that best resembles your niche. Save your preferences.

Ok, it's time to find those blogs with the RSS that we want. It's very easy. Just look for the feature StumbleThru in the StumbleUpon toolbar while having Blogspot Blogs selected. The system will only show you those blogs that are related to your niche. On each blog, click the RSS feed button and copy-paste the RSS feed in a document. It's just a matter of clicking StumbleThru over and over and over until you have a list of around 200 blogs (or more).

It's also a good idea to mention Flickr or photobucket too because images will greatly improve the look of your blog. In addition, you'll get search traffic for both content and images.

From the list you have, select the feeds that you find attractive. Note that some blogs will only have summaries of the articles while some will have full articles. You need to have a good mix of both.

When you have this filter list, then put the feeds in WP-o-matic. Here are a couple of tips:

a) Enter ONLY 2 feeds at one time. For some reason WP-o-matic tends to act weird sometimes when you enter lots of feeds at the same time. Sometimes it crashes or freezes, and sometimes it creates duplicate posts. By only entering 2 feeds at one time, you won't lose a lot of work if it crashes. And if it creates duplicate posts, they are way easier to locate and delete.

b) Enter the feeds of blogs with pics. They tend to have more traffic.

So far, you've had to invest some time, but it will be worth it because you would have created thousands of pages in very little time. I recommend that you split your work during different days instead of doing everything in a single sitting in order to make it seem like it happened naturally.

Now, you have to get Ads on your Wordpress Blog. I use Adbrite and I just use my account there to put some ads on the blog. I must warn you that the payment is very small. However, I prefer it and not risk my hard work with other systems like Adsense. Plus I'm making money as it is.

Anyway, placement of ads is very important. I post 2 ads (250x250) right after the post title on each post. It should be something like this:

Title
(Ad) (Ad)
Post

You should do this for every post. In addition, you should add a Leaderboard ad (728x90) after the header of your blog. That means you'll have an ad for the top of the blog plus two ads per post. I've found this to be the best of combinations.

Your blog is now ready. Time to submit it.

Submit your Sitemap to Google
Submit your blog to globeofblogs.com
Submit your RSS feed to millionrss.com

If you want to go the extra mile, then add these steps:

Submite your site to Digg.com
Submit your site to IndianPad.com
Submit your site to Mixx.com

That is all.

Of course, you need people to click on those ads and make you money. Let's see hot to generate at least 1,000 hits per day, both the paid way and the free way.

The Paid Way.

For the lazy or inexperienced (or those with little time). Go to Etology and sign up as an advertiser. In the "Buy Ads" section, go to "Network Ads" and look for the cheapest ads you can find. Just 1 cent a visitor. Buy something around 1000 clicks and it'll cost you $10, but they're worth it. Note that you will need a credit card to make the payment

IMPORTANT: Don't do this with Adsense, as they will ban you every single time. This system used to work with them until they caught on it and now they are on the look out. So, don't do Adsense, you'll only spoil your own efforts.

After you buy the ads, you'll get a call from them so that they can see that you really exist before activating the ads. As long as you set the ads like I told you a few lines above, you'll get tons of traffic and will get back your $10 in no time.

The Free Way

If you have the time, you should try this method. It's very simple and it works 99 percent of the time. Just don't get too greedy and overdo it or you'll get banned. However, even if you get banned, you'll only get banned from one category, but still. I've found that 1,000 clicks per day is good enough while still going under the radar.

Go to Reddit.com and sign up for an account.

Close your browser.

Clean your cache.

Go to freshproxy.org and set up a proxy (this is to get you a different IP)

Go to Reddit.com again and sign up for yet another account.

What you need to do is find interesting things that you can post on your blog and then promote it on Reddit. I've found that the easiest way to do is to find images with StumbleUpon. Just click on Stumble Images and you'll get hundreds of cool images. Find a few ones that you find interesting and save them on your computer. You can then upload them to your blog with a different title.

Now, go again to Reddit using your first account (the one with your regular IP) and submit a new link. In the field called "title," you should type in the longest title you can think of. Short titles will just not generate traffic.

Examples:

Bad Example: Computer

Good Example: This is one of the best if not the best inventions in the history of mankind, in fact, if it weren't for the computer, we wouldn't have internet and you wouldn't be looking at this right now.

Once that is done go to Reddit.com with your 1st account your main IP and then click Submit new link and then in title field put a title as long as possible, the longer the better, if you put short title you will not get any traffic. So for example --

Put the title to the test. Long titles should get you at least 1,000 visitors while short ones (if you care to try one) will usually be voted down. Anyway, select the category called "Pics" and post it.

Now, clear your cache and use the proxy and go back to Reddit under a different IP. Give a good vote to your own story. The fastest way to do it is to go here: reddit.com/r/pics/new/

However, you shouldn't take long, as your pics' "new" status will not last long. If you don't see your pic, then just give bad votes to 3 or 4 stories and refresh your browser. Repeat it until you see your url and then vote it up. Then immediately vote down the next 10 stories, no matter what they are. All this will result in about 1000 visitors for you.

Thats all there is to it folks. If you have any questions please post them up and i will get back to you ASAP.

Thanks and good luck

I think in this case it is better to get yourself your own domain and hosting. Plus on one hosting account you can easily set up many hosting accounts. The free blogs usually have other keywords within the URL etc which can affect the relevancy of the website in the Google search results.
