 Offline Marketing
Right so we know that it makes sense to use online marketing techniques for affiliate marketing online! But what about offline marketing and how effective is it?

Well let me explain when i first started out in affiliate marketing i used a few offline marketing methods shown below.

1. Newspaper advertising - With this i figured what would be the difference between newspaper advertising and advertising via classified ads website online, apart from the depth of the audience i would say not much all! And as this type of advertising has been the benchmark of offline marketing i definitely suggest that you use it. The typical technique i used it for was to advertise e-mail submits from various CPA networks obviously discussing with my affiliate manager first! These e-mail submits were usually the sort to win consoles and wide screen TV units.

2. Business Cards and Leaflets - Again another offline marketing technique that has been used for generations! Still very good especially the business cards, one of the membership website i ran in the past involved giving my users access to various tools and information that would help them to stop smoking. It was a paid membership website which involved the user to pay for there access to the resources! It was very successful and one of the methods i used was to leave leaflets and business cards in local food shops and petrol stations. Make sure that the material is catchy and gets to the point so people know what your about.

3. Billboards - Well this is something that you should use when you are well on the way to success and you have a bit of extra cash to do so. The billboards i am referring to are the big ones on the highway which you see advertising various products and services. Only ever used this form of advertising once as i thought with the current products i was selling this form of advertising not be as effect as others.

If you got any more folks don't hesitate to post them up!

Post Re: Offline Marketing
I have to admit this sort of marketing can be just as important as online marketing. I mean only the other day i saw a newspaper article with a owner of SEO company that was offering there services to newbie website owners/webmasters. I mean these newbie website owners or people considering going into a online business will be more likely the people reading the newspaper!
