How to Change your IP Address
Hey,
I am making this post for all the classified ad posters that post multiple adverts and are sick of getting there ads banned because they are being flagged as spam. Anyone that is doing black hat techniques will need to know how to change there IP address in order to cover there tracks and stop any come backs. As seen as there are no posts on this topic I took it upon myself to write a little guide on how to change your IP address. We are going to be using the mac address forcing technique in order to change our IP address so that our ISP will believe that we are another computer.
The first thing you need to do is open up your Internet browser and type in the search box '192.168.1.1' This number is the default linksys router address. There are different default numbers depending on the make of your router. If you don't have a linksys router try doing a search on Google for the model of your router followed by default router address, this should bring up some helpful results. Back to the linksys router once you have entered the default number you will be presented with a username and password box. Type in 'admin' in the password box and leave the username field blank.
Now you are in to the main screen. If you are using the old linksys setup then you will need to click advanced mac clone address. If you are using the new setup then you will simply need to find the mac clone address on the main screen and click it.
Now click on the start button on windows down at the bottom and get to the run tab generally at the bottom of the menu. Type in this box 'cmd' then you will be presented with a black screen. Type this in the black box 'ipconfig/all' This will show all the information about your connection split up. At this point we are only interested in the physical mac address part of it. We are going to use this section to type in our mac address clone. After we have typed it in, you need to turn your mac address cloning on and save your settings.
It will then say your settings have been saved and your internet should go dead for a few seconds. Go to status and click the disconnect/reconnect settings. If you have this setting then you will not need to physically get up and unplug your router/modem. If you don’t have the disconnect/reconnect setting then press DHCP renew button. If you do have the disconnect/reconnect setting click this button and you should be done. As I say if you don’t have this setting unplug your modem first and then your router and wait for 30 seconds before reconnecting your modem and router and you should have a new IP address.
If you want to change your IP address again you only need to edit the last box in your mac address clone tool. Only use HEX values so anything between 0-9 and A-F there is about 65,000 combinations so no need to worry about running out anytime soon. Now all you have to do repeat the process of clicking the disconnect/reconnect button or manually unplugging your modem and then your router and waiting for 30 seconds before reconnecting your modem and router and you should have a new IP address.
So that’s it peeps if you follow these step you should have a new IP address. There are proxies and IP changing programs out there but I think its good to learn how to do it manually as well as you never know when you might need to do it.
Thanks

Re: How to Change your IP Address
Very useful when you are posting multiple ads to classified ad sites to stay under the radar.
