Right so some of you may be wondering what the hell is going on with users on YouTube ranking so highly for their videos with absolutely no views! Well there is some sort of explanation for this, well this is my take on the whole situation.

Since the acquisition of YouTube by Google it seems the search algorithms may be working similar to that of Google search engine, why because as Google knows this is the best way!

So other factors apart from the views on a video which help it rank are with the number of people linking back to it. So back linking is counted! I think also that as Google search results do when a new website is indexes you will receive a grace period where your video will be ranked highly for the searched keyword within YouTube before a proper ranking position is calculated and applied!

Last and not least the amount of subscribers, users who have you on their favorite's list and also the amount of comments your videos have are all factors to consider when trying to rank in YouTube search results. I used to do YouTube marketing a little while ago and managed to get my video to the top of a very competitive keyword with the increase of views, subscribers and comments alone!

I have to agree since the acquisition of YouTube by Google alot of the search algorithms have been adopted as diamond mentioned above. I think a mixture of views and subscribers are enough to get your video boosted to the top of search terms however.

I have a video on a popular video game which i have sit on the number one spot for the search listings in YouTube and recently only moved down a few places as the views are so high. The best thing about YouTube is if you have your videos watermarked with your CPA offer (as long as it doesn't expire) you should see some regular earnings from it!
