Post Re: Getting started making money online
Thanks for your kind words Money Machine, getting the website built just about finished me off, I guess its a case of no pain no gain!

I checked out the site you recommended, I see what you mean about the testimonials......I'll look into that.

About the video thing, not really my thing especially since I'm writing under a pen name.

Regarding what I'm doing to promote my website, that's where I'm stuck.

I've submitted it to google and the other search engines, but I think I've messed that up.I submitted it without adding any metatags.

When I did a Yahoo search yesterday I saw that the description of the website was random phrases picked out from the content.
I updated the site last night with the metatags , but don't know if I've done it right. Don't know what I'm doing, the friend that Helped me put the site up is away for a couple of weeks and I had to do it myself.

I'm also not sure if I need to re-submit the site to the search engines again.....its so frustrating not knowing what to do :?

Following some advice I'd read on a thread here I'm trying to build some back links, only done 5 so far.

That's all I know to do for now. If you have any suggestions that will help promote my site more efficiently please let me know.

Hi,

In regards to promoting your website here are some other suggestions from me. One of the keys is building back inks because the more website that you link to the higher up your site will go in the search engine results. Do plenty of posts on forums with your website link in the signature. Try and post up on forums that are related to what you are selling. You have a better chance of attracting visitors to your site then because you know they already have a general interest in your type of product. Also do blog posting as well with your website in your signature. Always try to build backlinks to websites with a high traffic rank in the search engines. Use this tool http://www.alexa.com Enter the website URL in the search box at the top of the page and when you are on the next page click 'Get siteinfo for' button and there you will be able to check the traffic rank of your chosen website. Remember the lower the traffic rank number the better the site is. For example Google has a traffic rank of 1 so that is highest you can get.

I hope this helps you and if you require any more help just post up your questions.

Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks MoneyM' will do exactly as you suggested.

I've also just written 5 articles that I'm planning to submit to the article sites, do you have any idea about which ones are the best to submit too?
